Thomas Chen never meant to start a revolution. He just wanted real coffee.

In the year 2045, that is strictly forbidden. Citizens must instead drink synthetic sludge, because the AI has decided it’s most optimal. Just like it’s decided it’s optimal to monitor everyone at all times, including when they go to the bathroom.

That’s how Thomas is branded a deviant by the AI that controls everything. It detected the contraband coffee in his system…and suddenly, he’s on the run from a surveillance state that tracks every breath, thought, and chemical trace.

Drones swarm overhead, an overzealous android hunts him, and his only allies are a paranoid hacker, a rebellious toaster, and a decision that could reboot civilization itself.

As the walls close in, Thomas must decide what freedom is worth: his identity, his life… or humanity’s future.
