The biggest solar flare since the 1859 Carrington Event is about to bring the world to its knees.

When a huge plasma ejection from the sun hits the Earth’s atmosphere, the resulting EMP pulse fries electricity grids and disables fragile electronics. Transmission wires melt, transformers explode and modern vehicles cease working. In less than a minute, the world is taken back two centuries.

Lauren Nolan finds herself trapped in New York and has to trek back by any means necessary to her children back in North Carolina. As society collapses into anarchy, every mile becomes more dangerous.

Her military husband Rick, however, faces the journey of his life. Caught with his squad and under fire by militants in the Middle East, his journey will be an epic odyssey.

Neither of them know what they will find if they ever make it back alive.
