Secrets of the Catalogue by Amelia Spencer

When Emerson Blackwell wanders into a mysterious library late one night in NYC, she stumbles onto a catalogue where the books are doorways into other magical worlds. While this seems like the perfect adventure at first, she soon finds out that the library in charge of the catalogue is banning some books and telling its members those books are dangerous. When Emerson discovers her mom is still alive after going missing eight years ago and is the person publishing the banned books, Emerson starts to question the library.
