When Earth needs heroes, it’s too bad the most likely ones are on a one-way trip to the other side of the galaxy…

An unlikely crew, pressganged into searching for the source of a mysterious message, find themselves in a race against time when they discover one of them is carrying not only a deadly secret but is part of an extreme political ideology that plans to subdue Earth with tyranny and genocide.

As each crewmember’s story unfolds, they become convinced the sender of the message knows not only the secret but a vital clue that will save the Earth.

They must locate the messenger before they can return to Earth, but when their battered old interplanetary freighter finally delivers them to their destination, they find what they believed to be their history is not where they left it…
