Dane Curse by Matt Abraham

Dane Curse is a former supervillain who shed his mask and became a PI. He exclusively works for the families of supervillains, because sometimes even the unjust deserve a little justice. At least that’s how it was before the world’s greatest superhero was mysteriously murdered, an act so terrible it threatens to start a war that’ll tear his home apart block-by-block unless he finds the killer in five days’ time.

But getting to the truth won’t be so easy. He’ll have to contend with black capes who can shred his hide, an army of armored lawmen bent on his capture, and white caped heroes with less than pure intentions. No simple task for a small time PI, so he’ll need every bit of his strength, guts, and power if he’s going to find the killer, save his city, and maybe even get some justice for the greatest hero the world has ever known.
