In Connecting, seventeen-year-old George O’Donnelly inhabits Creation, a hyper-realistic VR game where he navigates varying digital landscapes in the hope of reaching the ultimate goal: Level Ten and ‘Ending the World’ – game over.
However, after a tactical suicide to evade one of the game’s top players, he finds himself in the program’s vault. His avatar is being treated as a virus. It is here that he meets Evylin, the game creator’s daughter, and together they plan to escape, return to the game, and win. Meanwhile, somewhere else, a young girl named Jessie, who has developed a crush on the player George, is determined to meet him in the game – even if it costs her, her avatar’s life. He needs to know. He needs to know exactly how she feels!
