Assassin’s Curse by Debra L Martin

Jada, an elite assassin, has his life turned upside down on his last mission. He was supposed to kill a witch and return her twin daughters to her grandmother, but nothing goes according to plan. The witch is waiting for him and stuns him with a powerful blast, but not before he throws one of his deadly knives. When he wakes, the witch is dying, but she puts a compulsion spell on him that binds him to the twins. He’s shocked that now all he can think about is saving the girls, supposedly the children of prophecy.
