Hope for Humankind by Andrew Kraft

Hope has awoken on a spaceship in a dissociative fugue and is immediately awarded the title of Interplanetary Communications Specialist. It soon becomes apparent that the subsequent direction of the entire multi-century operation rests on the success of this role.

After undergoing a procedure to induce memories lost from hibernation, Hope soon realizes the desperate need to ensure success. With a problematic roommate and an unhelpful Crew Resurrection Ambassador, the journey becomes an arduous struggle with Hope’s own interests superseding the main mission goals.
