Renegade Demon

by Louis Park

Demons have never tasted so good.

I’m Dick, and my London life revolves around working minimum-wage jobs and getting fired because I keep punching people to solve my problems. My broke self lives in a coffin-sized flat, and I treat a tin of baked beans like a gourmet meal. There isn’t much going for me, but by chance, I encounter a mad wizard who wants to teach me magic. I thought my life was finally on the up… nope, the freak tries to kill me. He would have done it if not for a brutal beast who escaped from a dimension called the Primal.

I should be happy about being saved, but the interdimensional horror has found a new home inside me and comes out, taking control of my body whenever he gets hungry. Not good when one of his favourite foods is demons.

Because of this bloodthirsty body-invader, I’ve got one mean chain-smoking spawn of hell and his infernal minions wanting to end

The Heirs of Earth

by Daniel Arenson

We hide in shadows. Our planet is lost. We are the last humans, and we must go home.

Two thousand years ago, aliens destroyed Earth. Billions died. The last humans fled a burning planet, heading to the stars.

Today we are still refugees. Hungry. Afraid. Our enemies hunt us everywhere.

So we hide. On distant asteroids. In rundown space stations. In deep caves on frozen worlds. And we dream.

Of green hills. Blue skies. We dream of Earth.

And for the first time, we have hope.

A few of us, just a handful of brave souls, form the Heirs of Earth. We are humans who stand tall. Who fight back. Aliens call us terrorists. The humans we save call us heroes. We have starships, weapons, and warriors. We can bring humanity home.

Earth is far. We have not seen her in many generations. But we have not forgotten. Earth is our heritage. Earth is our birthright. We will return!

Crystal and the Underlings: the future of humanity

by Jack Kelley

Crystal was, without a doubt, the best warrior and strategist human history had ever seen. She was part of the seventh generation of Elite humans, genetically modified to be smarter, stronger, faster, and better than normal humans.

When her twin brother went missing in the Mojave Desert outside of their home in Imperial City, she was determined to do whatever it took to bring him home safely-even if it meant she had to seduce the infamous leader of the Underlings and infiltrate their military compound alone. For this to work, she couldn’t have backup, and he couldn’t know how much she wanted him dead.

All her life, she believed Elites are better at everything than Underlings. But what if that isn’t true? As Crystal wrestles with newfound emotions, she must decide whose story she’ll trust: the scientist who created her, or the Underling general who stole her heart.
