The Terrans (humans) have lived in a series of space colonies in a distant solar system for thousands of years. Within that span of time, they have come into contact and warred with a local alien race, the Arez of the nearby world of Samael.
Versatile Layer has been described as Romeo & Juliet meets Star Wars. Our two main characters, Jake Takeda & Adeola M’falme, meet completely by chance and fall for each other. They’re separated again by a tragedy that leads to the war between their two peoples reigniting.
