Innocently (?) sent to stay with his “uncle” for the school holiday, Tomas Dearlove finds himself apprenticed to the paranormal detective agency of Lyons & Hound (established 1895) and ruthlessly plunged into a series of horrors beyond his wildest nightmares.
Vampires, were-beasts, witches and all manner of terrifying creatures from the pages of myth and unhinged fairy tale seem to have it in for poor Tom, as he finds himself embroiled in a war between various villainous factions for the supremacy of the supernatural underworld of Albion.
