Earthmaster First Sight by Charles Harwood

In 1623 Christian’s life changed forever when he followed a huge, white eagle to a mysterious cave and discovered a visitor from another world peering at him from beneath a small pool. Sent by the One, the being taught Christian to become a Paladin, a protector of Earth with superhuman abilities, told to wait in the shadows unless balance needed to be restored.

Now it’s the 21st century and, the time has come. Christian can travel thousands of miles in a flash of light, but he’s still human. People are dying at the hands of unearthly forces plundering the energy of all living things and altering the course of evolution. Christian can’t be certain of the power of those he will face, and he must be careful not to alter things himself – he can’t risk disrupting the plan of the One.
