Following on from Children of the Wise Oak, The boys are sent to Ynys Mon to train with the Deru-Weidi. Gwenn is sent to Rome to spy on a young patrician named Gaius Julius Caesar who is believed to be the subject of a prophesy. But she falls prey to a magic which Caesar wields unknowingly. Can she break free from Caesar’s spell, as she works to cure him of a terrible illness and rescue him from pirates? And can Epona persuade Gwenn to turn her back on this charismatic Roman?
