Backyard Aliens by Terry Persun

When a dinosaur egg is found at a dig in Montana, it’s quickly determined that it’s not from a dinosaur but from alien pod of some kind. Once the “egg” hatches, two aliens emerge and quickly escape. The military chases them down and takes them to Area 51 for experimentation.
