The Worst Man on Mars
by Mark Roman & Corben Duke
It’s 2029 and Britain’s first mission to Mars. For five years an advance party of robots have been building a base for the first colonists. But it’s not been going well. The base is not ready, with no air, water or doors. And all the food supplies sent ahead from Earth have mysteriously gone missing. Commanding the mission is blunt Yorkshireman Flint Dugdale, a man with a past as dodgy as the pies he eats. He knows nothing of the problems on the surface. Nor is he aware of the strange signals picked up on the ship’s scanners. It turns out there’s Life on Mars. But will it be pleased to see them?
