Arcadia’s Daughter starts with a simple story of a girl getting caught in a storm as she heads home to the family farm in Maine in 1872. From there, it moves to a couple who find an old photo in a junk shop. David finds himself oddly drawn by the photo and searches out its history. It turns out to be the photo of Abigail Johnson, the girl from Maine. An old woman tells David she’s been waiting for him to appear so she could tell him the story. It’s the first step in a strange journey that changes his life.
David and his wife, Sarah, become involved in a global battle between the forces of good and evil, waged on two fronts: the real world as we know it and the world of the dead, ruled by powerful spirits.
